There are so many kids here that one can only imagine how they will all be reached. God has given us the answer though! Through Children Reaching Children, a missions program designed by God Himself to breathe life and hope into the children of the Darien jungles
of Panama.'
This program provides a number of things for the children here such as school supplies. The Government of Panama sends the teachers here to teach the children but with one snag.....they don't give them any materials to teach OR provide the supplies for the kids to learn. God told us..."Put this program to work and I will provide." And provide He has.
This program has enabled the Choco kids to learn to read on target rather than the hopeless plan the teachers grasped for before this program. Their "ideal" was to have a child reading before they left their tudorage. In Panama there are 2 schools; primary which is 1st to 6th grade and secondary which is 7 - 12. So the teachers' goal was to get them reading before graduating the 6th grade. No wonder this program has received open arms and such grattitude that even the teachers have been saved over it.
We stand in awe as we watch the Sunday School children classes send, sometimes on a monthly basis, money from their classes to provide for children their very own ages here....half way around the world in their eyes.
It doesn't matter the age....the heart is willing and the heart of a child is so precious to God. We have first-handedly seen why. It's a beatiful thing!
