Dennis and I have lived in 4 war torn countries. He was in
the secret service when we lived in Turkey. Turkey is a
Moslem country and we lived in the Turkish community on the
Black Sea for two years. So we were right in the heart of the
culture. They had very little crime because of the punishment
that went along with the crime. They cut a persons hands off if
they were caught stealing.  Women were beat on a regular
basis simply because it was her husband legal right. If a
woman denied the Moslem religion or did something women
were not allowed to do, her own family could murder her.

They do not value life as we know it. The only way to heaven is to die as a martyr.  They believe it was their commission in life to rule the world as a Moslem and to kill all unbelievers. They hated Americans.

We lived in Guatemala when they were in civil war. At night you could hear the cries of people being murdered. One night we were driving down a mountain from where we held a crusade when we were stopped by the police. They told us that the guerillas, an anti government group, had stopped a bus down  the mountain a little ways. 40 people, women and children, were dead all over the road.

Living life under a dictator can be just as bad as war. Panama had a dictator for so long and even though it was not at war it was one of the worst cases of dictatorship. Fifteen years later, they are still finding mass graves of people who turned up missing while he was in office.

The jungle bordering Columbia is infested with drug farms. There are several anti government groups that criss cross the border areas, robbing and killing in order to get food.

We have been held at gun point and have seen some pretty horrible things.

Dennis has been thrown in jail 3 different times because they thought we were spies. When he was in jail I did not know if he was alive or dead for days.

I go to Columbia every year to hold a pastors wives conference. Their terrorist groups make the Alqueda evil look like play.

I am so proud to be an American. I can appreciate the freedom that our country gives us. Freedom comes at a high price but living under mass murders and terrorist groups is unlike any evil that America has ever experienced. If only they could see the evil first hand they would have no doubt in their minds the need to keep our country free at all costs.
