Currently we are in need of a backup transmitter. Whenever the main transmitter is in need of repair, even the smallest easiest fix, the entire radio station is down. This means no radio at all for those that are depending upon the Word of God for encouragement that day. With a backup transmitter we can switch to the backup as we work on the one needing repaired. This makes for an unbroken stream of encouragement and love to the Body of Christ here in the jungle. Often times when the main transmitter is broken we have to wait for parts to come in from the States which is both costly financially and time wise. The radio station is down the entire time as we wait for the parts to fix it. So you can see the great need for this back up transmitter.
The radio station is broadcasting clear through the densest parts of the jungle and over the border of the Darien into the drug farms of Colombia. This area is called the "Red Zone."
What does this mean to the people here....a continuous flow of Gods Word into their lives; encouragement, hope, life giving spiritual matter that really MATTERS to the people here. Nothing helps like the Word of God when you are deep into the densest darkest part of the jungle for days on end.
Please help us get this back up transmitter so that we can continue to minister to the people here who have come to depend upon Radio Vida for their connection to the body of Christ as well as spiritual food and encouragement. This project will cost around $10,000. Our God is big enough!
